Sept 2006 Back to School & Beavers. A new start for us at Beavers as we say good bye to Carol our Beaver Scout Assistant who moves on after a change in career. Thank you to Sue our Beaver remaining Assistant for all her support. We say goodbey to our older Beavers this term and welcome new Beavers Beatrice, Jed and Daniel later on this term.
New Badge This term we are working towards our Friendship Challenge badge. As part of this badge we will be asking the Beavers to find out about different countries around the world. In order to gain this badge please help your Beaver to look for country related objects to show at a meeting.
RNLI As part of our badge work this term we will be holding a cake sale on the 6th October for the benefit of the RNLI. We will be selling cakes and biscuits to the Beavers at 20p during the session. All donations will be gratefully received. Tobogganing Following the success of last years tobogganing we will be running another evening toward the end of term! Please look out for more details. Craft & Shopping Evening Following the success of previous years shopping evening, we announce this years date for your diary. Friday 12th November . Stalls are already booking so if you are feeling crafty now is the time to reserve your table, or if shopping is your thing, look out for tickets—on sale soon! Subs Subs will be £20 for the term, please make your cheque payable to 1st Swavesey Sea Scouts. If you have yet to fill in a gift aid form please ask. As a charity we can claim back the Tax you have paid. Please Help! With our increasing numbers we would like to thank all Parents who helped on our rota last term. Particularly those who willingly(?) volunteered on many occasions! Thank you for returning the CRB forms we need them for anyone who helps with any aspect of the Scout movement.
